A message from the founder

In 2018, a late-term pregnancy loss and a complicated delivery changed my life. It left me facing a classical C-section for any future pregnancy — a procedure that carries a real risk of complications, and one that made the idea of trying again genuinely frightening.

It took until 2025 before I felt ready to try. I sought care out of state so I could feel safe through the pregnancy. Things were smooth at first, but the third trimester brought a hospital stay at 33 weeks, and at 35 weeks I made the difficult call to move forward with a C-section.

My daughter was born weighing just under five pounds. We both spent time recovering from a hard delivery, she in the NICU, me right alongside her.

Hugs Health started as a way to process all of it — the fear, the loss, the hope. I wanted to build something that reflected what I'd want for my own child: products that are genuinely clean and safe for babies and toddlers.

Hugs & Health is made with that in mind, and grounded in real science. I hope it brings other families some of the peace of mind it's given me.
